Official opening of Caffi Frongoch

Mathew Evans(owner/chef) has taken over the running of Caffi Frongoch.
We had the Official opening there tonight with light refreshment.

The place was packed with his family,friends and customers -wishing him well!

New laptop, so I hope for more luck downloading my photos. Had a great time with our friends Gary and Sandy from Texas in Sept. We visited Devil's Bridge on the way down to Pembrokeshire.

The steps down nearly finished us off before we even started on the holiday!!!

Some late news from Bala

The Urdd National Eisteddfod (Youth Festival)came to Bala last month.This is how the pupils of our primary school in Frongoch welcomed the Eisteddfod.

My Inspired by Continental arrangement depicting the colours of the Urdd National Eisteddfod which is being held in Bala this year May25- 30th.Our tutor Sally Gosmore gave me 19 out of 20 points with it.Waw!!!!

Easter Uprising Memorial Service at Frongoch today



Irish and Welsh people at the Memorial Service in Frongoch today,the organizer Adam Phillips gave the history about the 1,800 who were interned here in 1916,in the old whisky distillery.



On June 10th 2016 it will be the cenntenial ,when a special service will be held in Frongoch.

Muck spreading time

Everyone ready for muck spreading now after all the wet weather we have had,so the lads and John are out muck spreading everyday while the weather is fine.

St David Day in Bala

The World Record attempt for the biggest Welsh cake was held in Bala today,as part of a number of events run by Bala and Penllyn Tourism Association.According to the Guiness World Records it must weigh a minimun of 20kilos.

Marmalade Season again

I'ts come round again,the seville oranges are in the shops. Have made my first batch of marmalade with seville oranges,lemons and some sweet oranges. The photo has disappeared somewhere.Sorry.
